CSEAS Student chosen as student speaker for Winter Commencement

Kanjana Thepboriruk has been chosen as student speaker for Winter Commencement. Kanjana came to Madison from Bangkok, Thailand at the age of nine upon her mother's acceptance into the CAVE PhD program in 1989. After a four year hiatus from academia, she will receive her BA for Linguistics and Southeast Asian Studies. She hopes to pursue a PhD terminal program somewhere warm and eventually become a professor. She is currently the chair of Campus Relations Committee for Associated Students of Madison. She is also a campus tour guide, a downtown ambassador, and helps her mother run a restaurant.

Winter Commencement will be held Sunday December 19, 10 AM at the Kohl Center (601 W. Dayton St.)
