Ian Coxhead (PhD Econ., Australian national University) is a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics and has been Director of CSEAS since 2002. He is a specialist in economic growth and development, trade, agricultural development, and the environment, with regional concentration on the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. At UW-Madison he teaches development economics at both graduate and undergraduate leves. He is the author of The Open Economy and the Environment: Development, Trade, and Resources in Asia (Edward Elgar Co, 2003, with Sisira Jayasuriya).
