N A T I O N A L F L A G

The blue part of the flag represents patriotism and justice. The red represents courage in the face of danger and the blood that was spilled for freedom and independence. The smaller white triangle represents equality and the Katipunan nationalist organization. The three golden stars on the white triangle represent the three main geographical regions of the Philippines: Luzon, Mindanao, and Visayas. Lastly, the sun represents independence and its eight rays are the eight provinces that led the Philippine uprising against Spanish rule.
