Philippine Cultural Night 2019: “Sino Ba Ako?”
March 31, 2019 @ 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm
You are invited to the Filipino American Student Organization’s 3rd Annual Philippine Culture Night: “Sino ba Ako?” Doors will be opening at 3:00pm. This year, our event will occur in two parts: the Performance Show and the Reception.
The theme for the evening, “Sino ba Ako?”, translates to “Who am I?” We chose this theme because we wanted to reflect on how Filipino culture has impacted our lives today. We wanted to represent the unity of Filipino/Filipino-Americans through a common theme even among our differences. We hope to bring a community from all generations to our event and build upon what it means to be Filipino.
Philanthropy: This year, FASO is dedicated to raise funds for the organization ReGenerational International Inc. This organization provides support and resources to children and adults who have been trafficked, abused, and exploited.
If you’re interested in helping, you can venmo us: @fasomadison. Additionally, we are collecting various items that ship directly to organizations that helps victims of human trafficking. Items such as: school supplies, hygienic items, summer clothes (children & adult), and toys are desperately needed. If you would like to donate items please message us or email fasomadison@gmail.com to figure out a time to drop off the donations at our office. PLEASE DO NOT BRING DONATIONS TO THE EVENT.
