Bio:
Kim Dieu Tran (who goes by Kim) has worked for many fields before finding her passion for teaching. She used to work as an airline representative (Asiana Airlines) and migrant services assistant for IOM Vietnam (International Organization of Migration), United Nations. She then embarked on an exciting journey of teaching English language to local high school students, at Da Phuc High School (also her alma mater). She dedicated her time to helping students not only improve their language ability, but also get to know more about the cultural aspects of English-speaking countries. She runs an NGO called “The Feet Project” that provides boots for children living in the remote and mountainous Northern area of Vietnam.

She is currently a Fulbright Vietnamese Language TA at UW Madison and can’t wait to share with students about Vietnamese language and culture.

In her free time, she enjoys taking part in all sorts of outdoor activities (that’s why Madison is her favorite place), watching Korean movies, listening to Kpop and Taylor Swift (BTS is her all-time favorite), singing, and dancing.
