THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THEIR ORAL DEFENSE AND RECEIVED THE MASTERS DEGREE IN SOUTHEAST ASIAN STUDIES:
Jessica Montez defended her Masters paper, “Reframing the Narrative on Vietnamese Women: Stories of Sisters During Times of Conflict” (December 2019).
Ni Luh Gede Sri Pratiwi defended her Masters paper, “Diwali in Bali: Balinese Religious Identity and Orthodoxy” (December 2019).
Congratulations to Elisebeth Doty on Her Return from a 2019 Boren IFLI Scholarship!
Elisebeth aka Lisey was awarded a 2019 Boren Indonesian Flagship Language Initiative Scholarship and traveled abroad to Malang, Indonesia for a full-time semester of language and culture study. She then continued to Jogjakarta to intern at the Wildlife Center, at Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM). She has returned in March 2020.
