CONGRATULATIONS TO RECENT GRADUATES IN SOUTHEAST ASIAN STUDIES!
THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THEIR ORAL DEFENSE AND RECEIVED THE MASTERS DEGREE IN SOUTHEAST ASIAN STUDIES:
Alex Hopp defended his Masters paper, “Refugees, Resettlement, and Racial Privilege: The Impact of the Possessive Investment in Whiteness on Hmong and Cambodian Refugee Resettlement in the United States” (May 2020).
Alex will be starting a doctoral degree program in History Department at the University of Minnesota this Fall.
Natanael Wangkanusa defended his Masters paper, “The Tradition of Palli and Environmental Conservation in Talaud Islands” (May 2020).
Natan has returned to Talaud, Indonesia in June, 2020. He will start a teaching position at Sam Ratulangi University in Manado, Indonesia.
