Major gift to Ladinsky Memorial Fund

The Judith L. Ladinsky Memorial Fund recently received a gift of $359,541.70 from the estate of Dr. Nina Byers.  Dr. Byers was a theoretical physicist on the faculty of UCLA.  She was the elder sister of the late Prof. Judy Ladinsky (UW-Madison Dept. of Population Health Sciences) and long-time head of the U.S. Committee for Scientific Cooperation with Vietnam. Her generous gift was deposited to the Judith L. Ladinsky Memorial Fund.  Interest earned from the endowment will be used to support research and teaching about Vietnam.
